The Central Institute for Experimental Animals (CIEA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on education and research collaborations with the United Graduate School of Veterinary Sciences (UGSVS), Gifu University.

Based on this MOU, research guidance will be provided to UGSVS students by visiting lecturers from the CIEA and research exchange promoted, thereby contributing to the advancement of academics and science and technology.

Held at the office of President of Gifu University on May 27, 2014, the signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Ryuta Nomura, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer and Dr. Mamoru Ito, Deputy Director of the CIEA, Dr. Hisataka Moriwaki, President of Gifu University, and Prof. Naotaka Ishiguro, Dean of the UGSVS. After the ceremony, the attendants and those involved visited the Animal Medical Center and exchanged opinions on various issues including specific ways to collaborate.
