With the passage of time, many new medicines, medical devices, foodstuffs, and substances used in daily living are being developed. The National Institute of Health Sciences is an organization whose mission is to carry out tests, research and surveys (i.e., regulatory science) to scientifically evaluate their quality, safety and efficacy. The Institute celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2024.
