Professor Kazunori Kataoka, Departments of Materials Engineering and Bioengineering, Graduate School of Engineering (Joint appointment at Center for Disease Biology and Integrative Medicine, Graduate School of Medicine) received 2015 Gutenberg Research Award on his achievements in the development of polymeric micelles for gene and drug transport into the target site in the body. Gutenberg Research Institute at University of Mainz, Germany grants Gutenberg Research Award annually for researchers who made outstanding scientific achievements internationally. This year, the polymer chemist Kazunori Kataoka and the theologian Kwok Pui Lan (Episcopal Divinity School, Cambridge/Massachusetts) received the Gutenberg Research Award, and President Georg Krausch gave them the Award Certificate at the Award Ceremony held in the evening of May 4th, 2015 at the University of Mainz.
